John Anthony & Co was started with the aim to make audit, assurance, accounting and financial consulting services more accessible and simplified for businesses, especially to MSMEs and Start-ups, requiring expertise and guidance in the initial stages to grow and not just survive. Ordinarily, the growth path of MSMEs business is from micro to small to medium and to large entities. In that path, the first stage is very critical. Professional Experience
John Anthony Jose is a finance professional with varied qualifications and experience across domains. He started John Anthony & Co to make finance and audit, accessible and less intimidating realm for entrepreneurs and businesses, especially MSMEs and Start-ups.
Before starting John Anthony & Co, John Anthony Jose worked across domains such as corporate banking, trade finance, audit and assurance, private equity, investment banking, treasury management and corporate finance.
John worked as Senior Manager Finance at GI Retail Private Limited, a diversified conglomerate with interests in IT & BPO, AI, Logistics, Hospitality and fintech. He headed a team of 18 members across verticals. He handled financial reporting, accounts finalization and closing of statutory audit, tax filings, financial forecasting, planning and budgeting, cash flow management, setting up and starting of foreign operations.
Before this, he worked at Cotton Blossom (India) Private Limited, one of India’s leading garment exporters as Senior Manager(F&A). He handled a team of more than 25 members while reporting to the Managing Director. He was involved in funding and treasury related activities while managing day to day accounting functions.
He gained experience in private equity, and investment banking at Arthit Capital, a Singapore based Private Equity Firm, where he assisted in investment decisions and financial analysis of prospective companies and competition. He also handled the administrative and accounting aspects such as capital calls, managing the KYC of investors and dealing with regulators and auditors. He was also a Corporate Banker at ICICI Bank, where he handled Large Cap and Mid Cap clients in industries as varied as IT, construction, trade and financial services.
